MY WHY

FILLING THE GAP

Throughout my service within school districts across Alberta, I have witnessed firsthand the significant gaps in youth mental health support and the persistent barriers that prevent children and their parents from achieving the outcomes they desire.  The public health care system is often overloaded with significant wait times, while  psychological private practices can be unaffordable and intimidating for children.
 

 More often, parents may not be seeking out a diagnosis or a label for their child, but instead may be searching for a trusted professional to support their family through life’s challenges.
 

At RQuito Therapy, my practice is thoughtfully designed to address these challenges with a model that is genuinely approachable, child focused, parent supported and cost effective.  My mission is to foster a meaningful relationship with child and parent, provide a safe space for courageous conversation, and identify strategies to achieve positive change.​
